Boil Water Notice: Water Main Break in 2600 Block of Hatley

Rollingwood Residents,

The Rollingwood Public Works Department and Crossroads Utility Service are in the process of repairing the main break that occurred this afternoon in the 2600 Block of Hatley. Water to the following addresses has been shut off in order to repair the line.

2501, 2502, 2600, 2701, and 2703 Hatley Drive

All of Inwood Circle

300, 301, 303, 304, 305 and 307 Inwood Road

300 and 302 Riley Road

We expect the water to be restored by late afternoon today. When the water is turned back on, a boil water notice will be in effect for the above stated addresses. These addresses have also received door hangers detailing the boil water notice. If you are in the area of this break but your address is not on the list above, you only need to boil your water if you experienced loss of water pressure or no water this afternoon.

If you have received a door hanger or think your water service was interrupted, please follow the Boil Water Notice protocol from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) below:

Customers should boil their water prior to consumption (e.g., washing hands/face, brushing teeth, drinking, etc). Children, seniors, and persons with weakened immune systems are particularly vulnerable to harmful bacteria, and all customers should follow these directions.

To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and ice making should be boiled and cooled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes. The water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes.

In lieu of boiling, individuals may purchase bottled water or obtain water from some other suitable source for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

We appreciate your cooperation with TCEQ’s boil water measures during this time and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We will inform you via our website (www.rollingwoodtx.gov) and the Swift911 Notification System when the water at affected houses is safe for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

Please contact City Hall at 512-327-1838 if there is any way we can be of assistance or if you need bottled water.

Take care,

City of Rollingwood
