Proposed MoPac South Expansion - Become and Stay Informed

The Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority (CTRMA), in partnership with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), has been working on an expansion of MoPac South, which involves identifying a mobility solution for an 8-mile stretch of MoPac (Loop 1) from Cesar Chavez Street to Slaughter Lane. For many years, the Rollingwood City Council has been actively involved in tracking, evaluating, and reacting to the proposed solutions as they potentially impact Rollingwood, specifically the commercial corridor and the residential neighborhood. Work on this project had been placed on hold during COVID, however, on Friday, October 22, the City of Rollingwood received notice  that CTRMA and TxDOT would be conducting a virtual public meeting to receive input on the MoPac South Environmental Study on Monday, November 22, 2021. A webpage has been created, per City Council direction, to serve as the information depository regarding the work that has been done on this project, to provide information about future meetings, and to inform the public about opportunities for involvement.  For information about the upcoming meeting and about past work, please visit the webpage at, https://bit.ly/3jEhjXd
