Winter Averaging Months: November through March

Rollingwood Residents,

It’s winter averaging time again! Your residential water meter measures your monthly water usage, but there is no meter to measure your wastewater use. Your wastewater rate is determined by your average monthly water consumption during the months of November, December, January, February and March. This measurement is taken during the winter months as outdoor watering is usually minimal; therefore, it is easier to estimate the amount of water that goes directly into the wastewater system, as opposed to the usage for outdoor watering.

This average will determine how much your utility account will be charged for wastewater on your monthly bill. Your new averaged rate will be reflected on the April bill, which you will receive in May. Once the new wastewater rates are applied, they will stay the same until the following May, when the average will be recalculated.

Thank you
