Prevent the Spread of Oak Wilt

Rollingwood Residents, 

We understand that there was widespread damage to trees throughout the city caused by last week's ice storm and we are working to arrange for the removal of fallen limbs in the coming week. 

Due to concerns of active oak wilt spread, we remind residents that all wounds to oak trees, whether made by the storm or trimming, should be treated immediately with a wound or latex paint to prevent exposure to oak wilt. Please work with any company or contractor working to trim or remove limbs from your yard to ensure that they follow the proper treatment procedures.
