CANCELED: National Night Out - August 3, 2021

Rollingwood Residents, 

We are sorry to announce that we have canceled our National Night Out Event scheduled for Tuesday, August 3 in Rollingwood Park. Travis County has moved to Stage 4 COVID-19 guidelines, and Austin Public Health is recommending that the public take extra precaution to prevent the transmission of COVID-19. They recommend individuals that are unvaccinated wear masks outdoors and those that are vaccinated wear masks outdoors if they are unable to physically distance. As a city, we are unable to require anyone to wear a mask at this time and feel that the best way to ensure the safety of our residents and visitors is to cancel this event.

This is always a very popular event in the city and usually brings in about 300 people, and our Police Department has been hard at work in the past months planning and organizing this event. We make this decision regrettably, but hope that our actions, and the actions of others during this time will lead to fewer cases and hospitalizations, and allow us to resume events as usual in the near future. We encourage you to stay up to date on COVID-19 safety guidelines through the Travis County and Austin Public Health website.
